Embryos expressing slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 complete dorsal closure.

Expression of slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in adult with a narrowed scutellum and/or loss of scutellar bristles.

Male flies expressing slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS and raised at 25[o]C show a decrease in survival on exposure to 37[o]C heat shock compared to wild-type controls.

Flies expressing slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS show a significant increase in median survival age (from 52 to 60 days) compared to wild type.

Expression of slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS rescues the dorsal closure phenotype seen in slpr921 mutant males. Some embryos exhibit head defects.

Expression of slprScer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS significantly rescues the lethality of slprBS06 animals.
