Expressing Hrb27CKK109074 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 causes a severe reduction of the wing disc posterior compartment in third instar larvae.

Expression of Hrb27CKK109074 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU has no obvious effect on adult eye morphology, whereas expression driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU is lethal.

Expression of Hrb27CKK109074 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 leads to a general decrease in Mushroom Body (MB) lobe volume associated with a decrease in the total number of MB neurons, MB αβ lobe defects (asymmetric, shorter or missing lobes) and abnormal overextension of αβ and α'β' dorsal lobes when compared to controls. Overextended dorsal branches systematically grow toward the midline, where, in extreme cases, meet with their counterparts. The proportion of MBs with axon overextension defects and the proportion of MBs with asymmetric or truncated α or β lobes are higher in females than in males.
