Comment:

Sequences between +7077 and +9632 relative to the ens transcription start site are deleted and replaced with a w[+] cassette. The deletion removes most of the carboxy-terminal part of the protein and is 2556 bp in length.

Detailed Description
Statement

ensΔC fails to complement the myonuclear positioning defect of ensswo.

Oocytes derived from homozygous female germline clones show defects in the positioning of the oocyte nucleus and abnormal F-actin accumulations in the centre of the oocyte are seen. Overall distribution of microtubules and microtubule polarity appears grossly normal in oocytes derived from homozygous female germline clones.

Eggs laid by homozygous females often show dorsal appendage defects, including missing dorsal appendages and dorsal appendages that are close together or fused.
