Expression of PdfrScer\UAS.cMa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4Clk.int1-3 and Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS, but not under the control of either Scer\GAL4Clk.4.5F or Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU, rescues the lower night-onset preferred temperature decrease observed in Pdfr5304 homozygous mutant adults; Pdfr5304 homozygous mutant adults expressing PdfrScer\UAS.cMa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4Clk.int1-3 and Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS also display significantly higher daytime preferred temperature increase compared to controls.

Expression of PdfrScer\UAS.cMa in DN1[[p]]s under the control of Scer\GAL4Clk.4.5F restores normal light-dependent temperature preference in Pdfr5304 mutants.

The advanced evening peak of locomotor activity which is seen in Pdfr3369 flies under light-dark conditions is rescued by expression of PdfrScer\UAS.cMa under the control of one of Scer\GAL4Pdfr.B, Scer\GAL4cry.PE, Scer\GAL4tim.PE or Scer\GAL4dimm-929, but is not rescued by expression of PdfrScer\UAS.cMa under the control of one of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, Scer\GAL4cry.PZ or Scer\GAL4Aph-4-c232.

Expression of pdfrScer\UAS.cMa using Scer\GAL4Clk.8.0 in a pdfr5304 background rescues the defects in morning anticipation and the timing of light-dark entrained evening behaviour.
