Detailed Description

Unlike overexpression of wild-type eyg, expression of eygΔPAI.ΔL.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, does not cause a ventral eye to form. Expression of eygΔPAI.ΔL.Scer\UAS in a eyg22-2/eygM3-12 background has a dominant-negative effect on the eye and thorax phenotype of these mutants.

Expression of eygΔPAI.ΔL.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4eyg-22-2, causes a dominant-negative enhancement of the eye and thorax phenotypes of eyg22-2/eygM3-12 mutants.
