e(y)3^EMSl homozygotes die at mid-embryonic stages.

Homozygous e(y)3^EMSl females and hemizygous males die at a midembryonic stage. Mutants have multiple and variable disturbances in development including the formation of the head, midgut, malpighian tubes and embryonic gonads.
