Expressing Pi3K92ECAAX.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU leads to a significant increase in size of the wing blade domain between L3 and L4 veins.

Scer\GAL4ppk.PG-mediated expression of Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS in C4da neurons drives excessive dendrite branch elongation while causing little effect on patterning of C4da dendrites, resulting in dendrite arbors with a 50% increase in total dendrite length.

Expression via Scer\GAL4wor.PA and Scer\GAL80ase.PN does not prevent the normal shrinkage and disappearance of pupal neuroblasts.

Expression of Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG produces dendrite pruning defects in ddaC neurons at 16 hours after puparium formation.

Expression of Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 in dorsal cells of the wing causes an overgrowth phenotype in which the wing bends downward.

The inflated abdomen and proboscis phenotype (that grows progressively more severe until death) induced by adult-onset expression of Hsap\APP2xAPP.SP.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Lk.2.2 (combined with Tub-Gal4 to limit the expression to adulthood) is completely suppressed in all flies by co-expression of Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS. Similarly, the increased apoptotic activity (detected by Casp3 immunolabelling) observed in third instar larval wing discs expressing Hsap\APP2xAPP.SP.Scer\UAS under Scer\GAL4e22c is significantly suppressed by Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS co-expression. Expresion of Hsap\APP2xAPP.SP.Scer\UAS under Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 either on its own or in combination with Pi3K92ECAAX.Scer\UAS does not induce cell death in larval wing discs.
