Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Occasional aPKCpsu141/Df(2R)Jp1 adult escapers are seen.
Embryos derived from homozygous female germ-line clones develop only scattered crumbs of cuticle. Epithelial cells in stage 7 embryos derived from homozygous female germ-line clones lose their columnar, monolayered organisation, rounding up and losing contact with each other. At stage 11, the neuroectodermal epithelium does not posses a contiguous zonula adherens, but instead spot adherens junctions are found in ectopic positions along the lateral plasma membrane.
Embryos derived from females carrying homozygous germ line clones produce just small pieces of cuticle and Filzkorper material. Homozygous females lay no eggs.
Embryos derived from females carrying homozygous germ line clones fail to produce a coherent cuticle.
