When Sp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS is expressed in a btdMD808 background (driven by the Scer\GAL4btd-MD808 aspect of the P{GawB}btdMD808 insertion), at most some reduction in the tarsus is seen in some mutant legs. When both btddsRNA.Scer\UAS and Sp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS are expressed in a btdMD808 background (at 29oC) and driven by the Scer\GAL4btd-MD808 aspect of the P{GawB}btdMD808 insertion), the animals are unable to hatch and the antennae and legs are affected in all cases, though to different extents. Segments I and II of the tarsus are often reduced. Leg segments are reduced in size and often fused. When these flies are grown at 17oC almost no alteration is seen.
When btddsRNA.Scer\UAS is expressed in a btdMD808 background (driven by the Scer\GAL4btd-MD808 aspect of the P{GawB}btdMD808 insertion), no phenotypics effects are seen.
