Detailed Description

d210/dGC13 transheterozygotes display some hair orientation defects in the posterior dorsal abdomen, as compared to controls.

d1/d210 adult wings show ectopic crossveins but lack the anterior crossvein.

The legs of dGC13/d210 flies are smaller than wild-type legs.

d210 somatic clones in the wing induced 24-48 or 48-72 hours after egg laying are nor recoverable in late third instar wing discs, even when they are given a growth advantage using the Minute technique.

Comments

Although d210 mutants die by early larval stages, this is probably due to a separable mutation on the chromosome as other d alleles with more severe phenotypes survive to the end of pupal development.
