Homozygous mutant adults exhibit about 2.50 dorsocentral bristle per heminotum (compared to 2.00 in wild-type). osa^4H/osa¹⁴⁰⁶⁰ mutant adults exhibit about 4.17 dorsocentral bristle per heminotum (compared to 2.00 in wild-type). Excess dorsocentral bristle precursors are seen in imaginal discs.
