Detailed Description

Homozygous and Ptp10Dchi/Ptp10DEP1172 flies show significantly lower 1 day memory after spaced training compared to control flies.

Homozygous flies show normal 1 day memory after massed training.

Mutant larvae expressing Ptp10DEP1172 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have reduced or abnormal synapses. Mutant larvae expressing Ptp10DEP1172 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have ISN neuron pathfinding defects.

Mutant larvae expressing Ptp10DEP1172 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 display a strong phenotype in which ISNb axons separate from each other after leaving the ISN and ander over the surfaces of the muscle fibres.

Cysts are seen in the ganglionic branches and the diameter of the ganglionic branches is larger than normal in Ptp4E1 Ptp10DEP1172 double mutant embryos.

Ptp4EKG02328, Ptp10DEP1172/Y double mutant animals do not survive to adulthood.

Comments

Expression of Ptp10DEP1172 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS completely rescues the tracheal defects of Ptp4E1 Ptp10DEP1172 double mutant embryos.

Driving Ptp10DEP1172 in tracheae with Scer\GAL4btl.PS in a Ptp4E1 Ptp10DEP1172 background rescues lethality, allowing some adults to emerge.
