Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Overexpression of PTP-ERhs.sev gives a small rough eye phenotype, the severity of which varies with the P{hs.sev-PTP-ER.K} line used. The rough exterior morphology is caused by the failure of photoreceptor differentiation, with nearly every ommatidia missing R7 and one or more of the outer photoreceptor cells.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Ectopic expression of PTP-ERhs.sev in this way completely blocks the Ras85DV12.sev rough eye phenotype even in the presence of PTP-ERXE-3022. Double heterozygotes rlS-135/PTP-ERhs.sev give a stronger eye phenotype than PTP-ERhs.sev alone. rlSem completely suppresses the PTP-ERhs.sev phenotype, to the point of producing ectopic R7 cells as seen in mutants in rlSem alone.
