Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 is lethal but when inhibited during development by keeping flies at low temperature the flies survive to adulthood and do not show any germarium defects.

Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to reduced eye size.

Mosaic clones expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PP do not overgrow compared to wild-type controls.

Developing indirect flight muscles degenerate in animals expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL41151.

Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in decreased eye size compared to controls.

Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PU results in a reduction in wing size compared to controls.

Pharate adults expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 have eye protrusions and truncated legs. An ectopic cluster of cells is present below the basal membrane of the ommatidia in these animals. The lobula plate and lamina are missing and the brain is physically separated from the optic lobe. The development of the ommatidia remains intact in these animals. In most pupae, the head remains inside the abdominal cavity.

Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa driven by Scer\GAL4vg.boundary can either rescue the sdETX4 and sd58d defective wing phenotypes, or can actually make these phenotypes more severe, depending on the sdScer\UAS.cSa insertion line used. The effect of these insertions is also temperature sensitive, with certain insertions suppressing the sdETX4 and sd58d phenotypes at one temperature and enhancing these phenotypes at another.

Clones of cells over-expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa (under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI) fail to grow in the hinge and notal regions of the disc. Expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 induces apoptotic cell death in the notum.

Flies expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 do not produce ectopic wing tissue in the eye. Flies expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 at 25oC show incomplete formation of the wing margin. At 29oC, the phenotype is more severe and almost no wing tissue is formed. Flies expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 show loss of head tissue.

Expression of Ncoa6HMS00664 enhances the reduction in eye size seen when sdScer\UAS.cSa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

Expression of trrHMS01019 enhances the reduction in eye size seen when sdScer\UAS.cSa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

Mosaic clones expressing sdScer\UAS.cSa and ykiScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PP overgrow relative to ykiScer\UAS.cHa clones.

Co-expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa and ykiScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in eyes which are severely overgrown (and much larger than the eyes of animals expressing ykiScer\UAS.cHa alone under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF) and folded. There is a general loss of eye pigmentation in the posterior region of the eye.

The reduction in eye size caused by expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is significantly enhanced by ykiB5/+.

The reduction in wing size caused by expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PU is enhanced by ykiB5/+.

Co-expression of sdScer\UAS.cSa rescues the bristle and wing margin phenotypes caused by expression of vgΔACT.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PU.

The defective wing phenotype seen when sdScer\UAS.cSa is expressed under control of Scer\GAL4vg.boundary in sdETX4 and sd58d mutants is alleviated when vgScer\UAS.cKa is overexpressed.

Partially suppresses the massive outgrowth of wing tissue from the eye seen in flies expressing vgScer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1. The wing phenotype caused by sdScer\UAS.cSa expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 is partially suppressed if the flies are also coexpressing vgScer\UAS.cKa.
