Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Btk29Ae482 embryos exhibit abnormally long salivary glands that do not fully invaginate. Cell counting and monitoring of mitoses show that the long glands are not the result of recruitment of extra cells into the salivary gland primordium or from the production of extra cells during development.

Females with homozygous germ line clones have defects in ring canal morphogenesis, and show a failure to completely transfer the cytoplasmic contents of the nurse cells to the oocyte. These females produce eggs ranging in size from 50% to 100% of wild-type.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Modestly enhances the fertility defect of Src64BΔ17 homozygotes. Markedly reduces the ring canal size of Src64BΔ17 homozygotes. Expression of Btk29Ahs.2sev reverses the effect of Btk29Ae482 on Src64BΔ17 egg chambers.
