wing & trichogen cell
Homozygous type II neuroblast clones in the larval brain contain large numbers of supernumerary type II neuroblasts and are devoid of ganglion mother cells and neurons.
The wings of bratunspecified hemizygotes kept under semi-permissive conditions do not have hair defects, but occasional loss of sensory bristle shaft cells (mostly distally along the wing margin) and occasional duplication of bristle cells (mostly in the costa) is seen.

trxunspecified suppresses the supernumerary type II neuroblast phenotype seen in bratunspecified type II neuroblast clones in the larval brain, and the number of GMCs and neurons is significantly increased in the double mutant clone.
btdXA ; bratunspecified double mutant clones in the larval brain do not lead to supernumerary neuroblast formation.
