Simultaneous expression of mewScer\UAS.cMBa and mysScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU in the Sema-2bf02042/Df(2R)Sema-2b-C4 mutant larvae background fully rescued the increased dendritic crossing phenotype in the class IV da neurons displayed by the Sema-2bf02042/Df(2R)Sema-2b-C4 mutants.

Co-expression of mysScer\UAS.cDa and mewScer\UAS.cMBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 suppresses the number of dendrite-dendrite crossings seen in rawjj102 mutant class IV dendritic arborizing neuron clones. Terminal branch number is significantly restored and a greater fraction of stable terminals are seen compared. However, the mutant terminal dendrite elongation defect is not rescued.

Co-expression of mysScer\UAS.cDa and mewScer\UAS.cMBa in class IV dendritic arborizing neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PH partially suppresses the dendrite growth seen in RetC168/Df(2L)BSC312 mutant larvae and completely suppresses the loss of dendrite-ECM interaction. The reduction in dendritic field coverage is not suppressed.

Expression of mewScer\UAS.cMBa largely rescues the dendritic reduction seen when mysScer\UAS.cDa is expressed in class IV da neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PH.

Co-expression of mysScer\UAS.cDa and mewScer\UAS.cMBa under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PH completely eliminates the enclosure of ventral midline vdaB neurons in the epidermis. 8.43% of vdaB neurons are enclosed in wild type. All associated non-contacting dendritic crossing is also suppressed.

Co-expression of mysScer\UAS.cDa and mewScer\UAS.cMBa the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PH rescues the increase in epidermally enclosed dendrites seen in fry1/fry02240 mutants. The dendritic crossing seen in fry1/fry02240 mutants is also largely rescued. The dendritic crossings that remain in the rescue flies are between two ECM attached dendrites, rather than non-contacting crossings between an epidermally enclosed dendrite and one attached to the ECM. The crossing on the v'ada/vdaB interface is also mostly rescued and all non-contacting crossing is eliminated.

Expression of mewScer\UAS.cMBa in ifB4 follicle cell clones (using the MARCM method) results in a delay in the developmental reorientation of stress fibres.

Expression of mewScer\UAS.cMBa under the control of both Scer\GAL4twi.PG and Scer\GAL4how-24B fails to rescue the visceral mesoderm phenotype of ifB4 embryos.

The embryonic lethality of ifB4 homozygotes is not rescued by mewScer\UAS.cMBa expressed using Scer\GAL4how-24B, although it is rescued in approximately 1/3 of cases by mewScer\UAS.cMBa expressed using Scer\GAL4how-24B in conjunction with Scer\GAL4twi.PG. Partially rescues the midgut phenotype of ifB4 hemizygotes when expressed using Scer\GAL4how-24B in conjunction with Scer\GAL4twi.PG. Scer\GAL4twi.PG ifB4/+ ; Scer\GAL4how-24B mewScer\UAS.cMBa embryos have normal muscle attachments.
