Expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4Hand.ΔVM.Switch (initiated by feeding flies RU486 during adulthood) results in cardiac function defects. Heart period (mean time between successive end-diastolic positions) is increased in 3 day and 10 day old flies compared to age-matched controls. No difference is seen in older flies.

Expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa in the RP2 motor neurons (using the Scer\GAL4eve.RRK driver to drive expression of Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa which then induces clones of cells expressing Scer\GAL4Act.PU) has no significant effect on RP2 dendrite volume.

Expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of either Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4how-24B does not cause a phenotype.

Expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not affect EJC amplitude (synaptic strength) and bouton number at the larval neuromuscular junction. mEJC amplitude is not significantly altered.

Flies expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.Scer\UAS have wild-type locomotor activity rhythms.

Causes no effect on copper cell development, when expression is driven by Scer\GAL448Y.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 in the presence of Scer\GAL80Cha.PK (to suppress expression in cholinergic neurons) results in a significant increase in total dendritic length and in the number of dendritic branches in MN5 motorneurons. The length and radii of individual dendrite segments and dendritic territory borders are unaffected.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4103.3 results in a significant increase in total dendritic length and in the number of dendritic branches in MN5 motorneurons. The length and radii of individual dendrite segments and dendritic territory borders are unaffected.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4futsch-C380 in the presence of Scer\GAL80Cha.PK (to suppress expression in cholinergic neurons) results in a significant decrease in total dendritic length and in the number of dendritic branches in MN5 motorneurons. The length and radii of individual dendrite segments are unaffected. The dendrites do not reach the normal neuropil boundaries and appear less ramified with several parts missing. The most severe defects are in the proximal-posterior region.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4gfA-3295 results in a significant reduction in the number of adult MN5 dendrites.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4futsch-C380 results in significantly fewer dendritic branches in the MN5 motorneurons. If expression is delayed past pupal stage P6 by using the temperature-sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele, then no obvious dendritic defects are seen.

The mutant eye phenotype caused by expression of Atf3Scer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is exacerbated by co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa.

Co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa reduces tumor and metastasis incidence in the 'eyeful' (Scer\GAL4ey.PH, DlScer\UAS.cDa, psqGS88A8, lolaGS88A8) background.

Co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa pan-neurally under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 positively regulates synaptic strength.

Co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 increases synaptic size (measured as the number of synaptic boutons) compared to wild-type controls.

Co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa rescues the small eye phenotype seen upon expression of kayFbz.Scer\UAS in the eye disc using Scer\GAL4ey.3.5.Exel.

Co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 increases synaptic size (measured as the number of synaptic boutons) compared to wild-type controls.

Expression of sggEY02862 suppresses the reduced EJC amplitude found upon expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa pan-neurally under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155.

Co-expression of cnkEY06675 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, significantly reduces synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of Fkbp13EY02405 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, significantly reduces synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of Pde8EY10143 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, significantly reduces synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of sggEY02862 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, significantly reduces synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of SdcEY04602 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, significantly reduces synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of Sema-2aEY08184 in flies already expressing JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa, all in differentiated post-mitotic neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, does not affect synaptic growth compared to JraScer\UAS.cEa and kayScer\UAS.cEa over-expression flies.

Co-expression of both kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa in the RP2 motor neurons (using the Scer\GAL4eve.RRK driver to drive expression of Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa which then induces clones of cells expressing Scer\GAL4Act.PU) results in a significant increase in RP2 dendrite volume compared to controls.

Cultured motor neurons co-expressing both kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4futsch-C380 (in the presence of Scer\GAL80Cha.PK to suppress expression in cholinergic neurons) show a significant increase in both neurite length and branch number compared to controls.

Co-expression of JraScer\UAS.cEa partially suppresses the symmetrical ommatidia phenotype caused by expression of pntP2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev.

Coexpression of Mnn1Scer\UAS.cCa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of either Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4how-24B results in the same phenotypes as expression of Mnn1Scer\UAS.cCa alone.

Expression of both kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in a 30% increase in EJC amplitude (synaptic strength) and bouton number at the larval neuromuscular junction. mEJC amplitude is not significantly altered. Expression of CrebB-17Ab.hs does not change the effect of co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) on bouton number, but significantly inhibits the effect of co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) on EJC amplitude (synaptic strength); the triple mutant flies have an EJC amplitude 108% that of control flies. Expression of dncScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not change the effect of co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) on bouton number, but significantly inhibits the effect of co-expression of kayScer\UAS.cEa and JraScer\UAS.cEa (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) on EJC amplitude (synaptic strength); the triple mutant flies have an EJC amplitude 83% that of control flies.
