Description

Inversion of the genomic region between the proximal defective P-element in y+ns and a region in the sc gene. The inversion displaces sc enhancers away from the promoter.

The bristle phenotype is strongly suppressed by su(Hw)2/su(Hw)V; only humeral, some anterior orbital and some anterior notopleural bristles are missing. The bristle phenotype is suppressed by su(Hw)NoAD; only humeral, some anterior orbital, some anterior notopleural and some postvertical bristles are missing. The bristle phenotype is slightly suppressed by su(Hw)Δ283; humeral and some anterior orbital, anterior notopleural, postvertical, ocellar, presutural and scutellar bristles are missing. The bristle phenotype is slightly suppressed by su(Hw)J or su(Hw)Δ100; humeral and some anterior orbital, anterior notopleural, postvertical, ocellar, presutural, anterior postalar, anterior supraalar and scutellar bristles are missing. The bristle phenotype is suppressed by mod(mdg4)ul/mod(mdg4)ul; only humeral, some anterior orbital, some anterior notopleural and some presutural bristles are missing.
