The wings of Doa^RemγA/Doa^E777 mutant flies have missing bristles along the anterior margin.

In Doa⁷/Doa^E777 mutants where the Doa⁷ allele is from the mother only the males survive and the flies have held-out wings and duplication of the postalar bristles. When the Doa^E777 allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.

Doa^E777 is a suppressor of phenotype of w^a
