Description

Insertion of 6.5kb between an NaeI site at nucleotide 1309 (amino acid 346) and a BamHI site at nucleotide 1358 (amino acid 363). Resulting protein is predicted to contain the entire bHLH region but be missing 72-89 residues at the C-terminus including the conserved WRPW motif.

Linked to:
NaeI-BamHI restriction fragment
Comment:

The insertion site of a 6.5kb insertion was mapped to a NaeI-BamHI fragment. The insertion site was approximately annotated to the middle of the restriction fragment by a FlyBase curator.
