Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Male germ cells with excess rux function execute only one division at meiosis resulting in cysts of 32, rather than 64, germ cells. The division that does occur is a meiosis I rather than a meiosis II division.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Enhances the rough eye phenotype of CycEJP homozygotes. One copy of rux+t6.0 has no effect on the reduction in the number of cells entering S phase posterior to the morphogenetic furrow seen in CycEJP homozygotes.

Complementation and Rescue Data
Comments

Rescues the rough-eye phenotype of rux3, rux4 and rux8 and the sterility of rux8.
