eyaE4/eya4 adults and majority of eyaE4/In(2LR)ETD2.2 adults are eyeless.

eya1/eya3 and eya1/eya4 adults exhibit significantly higher number of ommatidia in the eye than eya1/eyaE4 adults.

eya2/eya4 and eya2/eya3 adults exhibit significantly higher number of ommatidia in the eye than eya2/eyaE4 adults.

eyacs/eyaE4 adults exhibit greater number of ommatidia than eyacs/eyacs and eyacs/T(2;3;4)ETD4.3 adults while they exhibit fewer number of ommatidia than eyacs/eya3 and eyacs/eya4 adults.

eya1/eyaE4 flies have eyes that are less than 1/4 normal size. More than 50% of eyaE4/eyaE(P)10 animals die as embryos.

eyaE4/eya1 flies have eyes that are less than 1/4 normal size. eyaE4/eya3 flies may be eyeless, or may have eyes that are less than 1/4 normal size.

50% to less than 100% of eyaE4/Df(2L)eya10 embryos hatch. 50% to less than 100% of eyaE4/eyaE3 animals survive to adulthood. Adults have eyes which are less than 1/2 normal size. eyaE4/eya4 flies have eyes which are less than 1/2 normal size.
