paralytic | heat sensitive (with paraJS1)
Homozygous embryos generally survive through embryogenesis until hatching.
Greatly reduced synaptic activity: all bursting activity is absent, both frequency and amplitude of excitatory junction currents (EJCs) are greatly reduced at the embryonic neuromuscular junction (NMJ). Embryos hatch normally at 25oC but fail to hatch at 30oC. Synaptic transmission is dramatically reduced at room temperature and completely blocked at 32oC.
In homozygotes postsynaptic GluRIIA expression is unaffected. At 32oC GluRIIA expression is reduced and absent at 34oC.
