roo insertion in the second intron of the L-RC isoform. In addition, the chromosome also carries a number of other natural transposon insertions in the L region (jockey{}Mohr, opus{}Mohr and roo{}Mohr), however these insertions are found in a number of dominant L mutant alleles isolated around 1920, and also in the ft1 chromosome isolated during the same time period, suggesting that the additional insertions are probably not related to the dominant L mutant eye phenotype.
Homozygote has small, kidney-shaped eyes. Overlaps wild type at 19o, generally good at 25oC. Heterozygote rarely shows seam or nick. RK2 as homozygote.
