Nucleotide change:

G14317244A

Reported nucleotide change:

G?A

Amino acid change:

A374T | fz-PA; A374T | fz-PC

Reported amino acid change:

A374G

Comment:

The reported amino acid substitution (Ala to Gly) is not consistent with the reported nucleotide substitution (GCG to ACG). The curator corrected the amino acid substitution to reflect the reported nucleotide sequence change.

Detailed Description
Statement

fz24 has a weak multiple wing hair phenotype in combination with fz30.

Non-autonomous phenotype in wing clones.

Homozygotes exhibit a weak multiple hair cell (MHC) phenotype. Reduction of dsh+ gene dosage results in dramatic enhancement of the MHC phenotype and an increase in gene dosage suppresses the phenotype.

Weak allele.

Moderate thoracic bristle phenotype; moderate wing-hair disorientation. eye texture normal

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The combination of grhFK2131/+ and fz24 produces tissue polarity defects in the wing over a much larger fraction of the wing than do the single mutants alone.

The fraction of the wing that shows abnormal polarity in fz24 flies is increased if the fly also carries ds1/ds33k.

Double mutants of VangTbs42, VangA3 or VangA5 with fz24, dsh1 inunspecified and mwhunspecified all showed hair polarity pattern typical of the fz-in group.
