AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Eaat1 transcript is expressed in a subset of the longitudinal (interface) glial cells where it is co-expressed AvicGFPCG31235.T:nls-tra.
Eaat1 transcript is detected at high levels in adult heads. Transcript is also present at very low levels in late embryos, larvae, and in the adult body. In stage 15-16 embryos, Eaat1 transcript is detected in brain and ventral nerve cord. Within the ventral nerve cord, several clusters express the transcript, including a segmentally repeated pattern of four large clustered cells in each abdominal neuromere, additional cells near the longitudinal connectives, and small ventro-lateral cells that are not clustered. A larger number of cells express Eaat1 compared to Eaat2 transcript; cells expressing Eaat1 transcript may include motor neurons while those expressing Eaat2 transcript are likely to be interneurons or glial cells. In the third instar larva, Eaat1 transcript is detected in the optic lobe, in intreneurons in the brain and motor neurons in the ventral ganglia. In the adult, Eaat1 transcript is expressed in cells of the medulla cortex of the optic lobe.
Eaat1 protein is expressed in the glial processes that wrap the motor axons in the adult neuromuscular junction. It is not detected in larva.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
