The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Mucin-D protein can be detected in nascent ring canals in the early region 1 of the germarium, while F-action cannot be detected until the late region 2 germarium. Mucin-D protein is localized to the outer rim of ring canals through oogenesis stage S10. Mucin-D protein is also localized to ring canals in the testis, and to intercellular bridges in imaginal discs
JBrowse - Visual display of RNA-Seq signals
View Dmel\Mucin-D in JBrowsePlease Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
monoclonal
Gp90 localisation in cells and tissues is determined using specific monoclonal antibodies.
A secreted glycoprotein with apparent molecular mass of 90kD produced by cultured embryonic cells is isolated and partially characterised. Characteristics suggest the glycoprotein is a representative of the invertebrate mucin-type glycoprotein.
