Description

5.797kb deletion that removes the entire Eaat2 coding region. Generated by FLP-mediated recombination between the PBac{RB}Eaat2e04636 and PBac{WH}Eaat2f06549 insertions; a hybrid PBac{RB5.WH5} element remains at the site of the deletion.

Detailed Description

Reference

Eaat2n1 adults show normal lifespan, feeding time and female fecundity.

Eaat2n1 adults sleep significantly more only during daytime and show significantly longer sleep bouts during both daytime and nighttime, as compared to controls. Their sleep bout numbers, awaking activity and sleep recovery after mechanical sleep deprivation is comparable to controls. In agreement with the sleep defects, these adults show a decrease in metabolic rate during daytime, as compared to controls.
