About 45% of enΔ1.5 mutants show defects in fusion of left and right abdominal dorsal hemisegments.
enΔ1.5 has visible | adult stage phenotype, enhanceable by inv[+]/invΔ24
enΔ1.5 has visible | adult stage phenotype, non-enhanceable by Df(2R)Δ110
enΔ1.5, inv[+]/invΔ24 has visible | adult stage phenotype
Df(2R)Δ110, enΔ1.5 has visible | adult stage phenotype
Df(2R)Δ110/+, enΔ1.5, inv[+]/invΔ24 has visible | adult stage phenotype
enΔ1.5 has adult abdomen phenotype, enhanceable by inv[+]/invΔ24
enΔ1.5 has adult abdomen phenotype, non-enhanceable by Df(2R)Δ110
enΔ1.5, inven80 has adult cuticle phenotype
enΔ1.5, inv[+]/invΔ24 has posterior crossvein phenotype
Df(2R)Δ110, enΔ1.5 has wing vein phenotype
Df(2R)Δ110/+, enΔ1.5, inv[+]/invΔ24 has wing vein phenotype
Df(2R)Δ110/+, enΔ1.5, inv[+]/invΔ24 has adult abdomen phenotype
enΔ1.5 homozygous mutants carrying one copy of invΔ24 show wing posture defects (held-out wings), extra wing vein material at the posterior crossvein and the penetrance of abdominal hemisegments fusion defects observed in enΔ1.5-only mutants is increased to 100%. In contrast, the penetrance of the hemisegment fusion defects is not much enhanced by combination with Df(2R)Δ110, but all of these flies display various wing vein defects.
enΔ1.5 heterozygotes homozygous for invΔ24 show fully penetrant hemisegment fusion phenotype but only about 14% percent of them also display aberrant wing posture. The full double homozygotes all hold-out their wings in addition to the fusion defects and also exhibit an ectopic wing vein material phenotype of similar severity and penetrance as the enΔ1.5,invΔ24/enΔ1.5,+ flies.
enΔ1.5,invΔ24/Df(2R)Δ110 adults show fully penetrant wing posture, wing vein as well as hemisegment fusion defects.
