Description

Sequence encoding a GAL4 driver and a w+* marker are inserted into the Tmc locus near the translation initiation codon of Tmc isoform PD, resulting in about 7,000 bp of the Tmc gene being replaced by the reporter construct and more than 1,000 amino acids (about one-half of the coding sequence) of Tmc being deleted.

Reference

Inhibition (using Hsap\KCNJ2IVS.10xUAS.EGFP) of Scer\GAL4Tmc-Gal4 cells in adult females does not affect preference for softer 100 mM sucrose-containing agarose for egg laying, compared to controls.
