Microtubule aster is missing in around 70% of interphase neuroblasts and during metaphase mitotic spindles are shorter in the central brain of third instar larvae with expression of TBCDScer\UAS.cCa driven by Scer\GAL4insc.PU; bipolar spindles are still assembled in all metaphase neuroblasts and there is some mild neuroblast overgrowth.
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has abnormal mitotic cell cycle | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2T30N.UAS, Scer\GAL4insc.PU
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has abnormal mitotic cell cycle | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2Δ156
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has increased cell number | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2Δ156
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has spindle | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2T30N.UAS, Scer\GAL4insc.PU
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has spindle | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2Δ156
Scer\GAL4insc.PU, TbcdUAS.cCa has larval neuroblast | third instar larval stage | increased number phenotype, enhanceable by Arl2Δ156
Co-expression of Arl2T30N.Scer\UAS (or Arl2Δ156/+) increases severity of microtubule growth defects (shorter spindles, inability to form bipolar spindle) in the central brain of third instar larvae with expression of TBCDScer\UAS.cCa driven by Scer\GAL4insc.PU. Presence of Arl2Δ156/+ enhances neuroblast overgrowth in third instar larvae with expression of TBCDScer\UAS.cCa driven by Scer\GAL4insc.PU.
