Expression of Gr47aScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4Gr36a.6, Scer\GAL4Gr39b.4.4 or Scer\GAL4Gr8a.0.7 rescues the impairment in strychnine avoidance seen in Gr47a1 mutant flies. No rescue is seen with Scer\GAL4Gr59c.5.5, Scer\GAL4Gr93a.5 or Scer\GAL4Gr98b.8.9. The loss of strychnine-induced action potentials in S6 is rescued when Gr47aScer\UAS.cLa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Gr59c.5.5 or Scer\GAL4Gr98b.8.9, but not with Scer\GAL4Gr93a.5.
