    Detailed Description

    Reference

The majority of Cp190En15/Cp1903 flies die as pharate adults, with rare (2%) escapers that die shortly after hatching, and pharate adults show homeotic transformation of abdominal segment A1 into A2 (but no transformations in segments A6-A8): held out wings in escapers are often blistered, the shape of t1 (tergite of the first segment) is changed toward t2, t1 bears long bristles, inner support sclerite is absent or rudimentary, s1 (sternite of the first segment) is often visible but without bristles.

Cp1903 is homozygous lethal at the pupal stage.

Though Cp190P1/Cp1903 or mod(mdg4)m9/mod(mdg4)GS23019 flies die as pharate adults with fully formed cuticles, Cp190P1 mod(mdg4)m9/Cp1903 mod(mdg4)GS23019 double mutant flies die as pupae (P5-7).

The ct6 wing margin phenotype is fully suppressed by Cp1903/Cp190P1.

    Comments

Expression of Cp190Ubi-p63E.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP fully rescues the lethality of homozygous Cp1903. The rescued flies are healthy and fertile.

Expression of Cp190dZnF.Ubi-p63E.T:Avic\GFP fully rescues the lethality of homozygous Cp1903. The rescued flies are healthy and fertile.

Expression of Cp190ΔM.Ubi-p63E rescues the lethality of homozygous Cp1903.

Expression of Cp190dBTB.Ubi-p63E.T:Hsap\MYC fails to rescue the lethality of Cp1903.

Expression of Cp190dBTB.Ubi-p63E.T:Avic\GFP fails to rescue the lethality of Cp1903.

Expression of Cp190BTB-D.Ubi-p63E.T:Avic\GFP fails to rescue the lethality of Cp1903.
