The expression of robo2UAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU results in adult sLNv neurons exhibiting significantly shorter axon projections and failing to reach their targets, but does not have an obvious effect on the lLNv neurons, as compared to controls; this defect occurs in the early pupa.

The expression of robo2UAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4ato.PU results in adult DCN neurons failing to form the characteristic commissure and instead stalling in the proximity of the mushroom body peduncle in the larval brain, eventually turning around and innervating the ipsilateral optic lobes in adult brains.

The expression of robo2UAS.EGFP leads to shorter sLNv axon projections (Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU-driven expression) and to the absence of the normal DCN neuron commissure (Scer\GAL4ato.PU-driven expression), both of which are suppressed by sli2/slik04807b transheterozygosity. The shorter sLNv axon projections resulting from the Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU-driven expression are also partially suppressed by the co-expression of Ptp69DKK105220.

The DCN axon projection defects resulting from the expression of robo2UAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4ato.PU are enhanced by the co-expression of Ptp69DUAS.cDa.Tag:HA.
