The embryonic midgut of individuals expressing tkvdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU lacks the prominent second constriction normally observed in controls.

Wing defects are apparent upon expression of Scer\GAL4C-765>tkvdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa, including enlargement of wing size in addition to ectopic veins.

Flies expressing tkvdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM often show branches at the posterior crossvein.
