Embryos expressing Mmus\Plk1Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 show mitotic defects. Cycle 10-11 embryos show mitotic defects in 4.8% of nuclei, while cycle 12-13 embryos show defects in 22.4% of nuclei. In the 12th mitosis, chains of interconnected nuclei and free centrosomes are seen. The actin cytoskeleton is disorganised.
