Expression of M1BPHMS02334 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH leads to either absence of eyes or smaller eyes in adults. It also leads to leads to suppression of eye fate, smaller eye discs, failure of morphogenetic furrow to progress from the posterior margin of the eye disc towards the anterior side, increased cell death and decreased cell proliferation in eye discs.

Expression of M1BPHMS02334 under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4 or Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 leads to reduced eye field (along the dorsoventral margin with Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4) in the eye imaginal disc and smaller eyes in adults.

Expression of M1BPHMS02334 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 results in a severe wing nicking phenotype and reduced wing size, and increased cell death is observed in the wing disc, in a portion of the dorsal-ventral wing margin.
