    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Homozygous sggED6584 mutant flies are lethal.

Most of the eggs derived from mothers carrying sggED6584 mutant germline clones are unable to complete meiosis. 91.9% of eggs show an anaphase I-arrested chromosome configuration. Metaphase I arrest appears normal in the mature oocytes.

    Comments

Expression of sggScer\UAS.P\T.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 rescues the meiotic defects seen in sggED6584 mutant germline clones.
