Description

A 1886bp genomic fragment of Pburs containing 1086bp 5' of the start ATG and 315bp 3' of the TAA stop signal (~130bp 3' of the potential polyadenylation site) is cloned into a pGreen H-Pelican P-element vector where the EGFP sequences have been removed, leaving 'insulator sequences'.

      A single copy of pburs+t.1886 rescues the delay between pullback and head eversion during ecdysis, along with the reduced or absent head, and shorter legs and wings found in pbursexc mutants.

      The presence of pburs+t.1886 rescues the defects found in pburspupal1 homozygotes or pburspupal1/pbursexc transheterozygotes.
