The expression of eggScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624 in eggnull/Df(2R)Dll-MP transheterozygous female ovaries leads to no obvious defects in early oogenesis, including in germline stem cells differentiation, in germline cyst formation and encapsulation, in egg chamber budding from the germarium and in early oogenesis progression, but egg chambers arrest and undergo apoptosis at stage 5 of oogenesis, as compared to controls.
Scer\GAL4arm.PS-mediated expression of eggScer\UAS.cTa rescues the eggGS7132 and eggGS7132/eggnull phenotypes.
