Expressing agoHMS00111 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.bam in a Df(3L)BSC370/+ background leads to spermatogenesis defects, investment cone migration is misdirected and asynchronous, associated with abnormal cystic bulges waste bags; at the basal end of elongating cysts there are mitochondrial bulges, including swollen megamitochondria; mitochondrial defects at the ultrastructural level include defects in morphology, size, and paracrystalline material accumulation.
