Description

UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of Nlg1 in which amino acids 1-741 have been deleted and replaced by a signal peptide from Rnor\Cd2 followed by 10 Tag:MYC tags. In addition, the Nlg1 sequence is tagged with EGFP (the tag is just C-terminal to the transmembrane domain).

The expression of Nlg1Δextra.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU does not lead to significant changes in the number of synaptic boutons at the third instar larval neuromuscular junction, as compared to controls.

Expression of Nlg1Δextra.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR has no effect on the morphology of the neuromuscular junction.
