The expression of AMPKαUAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GSG5966 (and RU486 feeding) leads to a significant decrease in lipid droplets (ie number, size and relative cellular content) in the adult midgut, as compared to controls.

The expression of AMPKαUAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB and induced by shift to 29[o]C for 2 days before the experiment induces lipid droplet autophagy (dual LS2- and Atg8-positive puncta) in the adult midgut, as compared to controls.

Expression of one or two copies of SNF1AK57A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Ubi does not significantly reduce adult lifespan.

Ubiquitous expression of SNF1AScer\UAS.cMa (under the control of Scer\GAL4Ubi) does not affect levels of locomotion.
