      Sln6.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC-expressing wing discs (through Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096) transport much higher amounts of butyrate and lactate than control discs.

      Expression of Sln6.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in the apical side of the wing disc, through Scer\GAL4e22c causes massive apoptosis when the wing disc is incubated with butyrate. However, incubation with lactate does not induce significant cell death compared to controls.
