Expression of MycGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU leads to a decrease in the brain volume, glial cell size and glial nucleolus size in third instar larvae.

Expressing MycGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in small, underdeveloped larval salivary glands, as compared to controls; there is a severe decrease in DNA content.

Scer\GAL4Cg.PA MycGD1419 animals reach pupation with a delay of 48h at their third instar transition; these animals are smaller throughout development, and eclose 2 days later than controls as smaller, lighter adults. Scer\GAL4Cg.PA MycGD1419 flies have small wings, owing to decreased size and number of cells. Scer\GAL4Cg.PA MycGD1419 flies also have eyes with smaller and fewer ommatidia. Scer\GAL4ppl.PU MycGD1419 flies have smaller wings comprising smaller cells.

Scer\GAL4Hml.PG-mediated expression of MycGD1419 does not affect developmental timing or body/wing size.

Fat cells in the fat bodies of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA MycGD1419 animals contain cytoplasmic lipid droplets larger in size than controls. The fat cells are smaller and contain less triglyceride compared to controls.

The half-life of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA MycGD1419 animals during starvation is decreased compared to controls.

Over-expression of dmGD1419 using Scer\GAL4sca-109-68 decreases the nuclear and nucleolar size of the posterior scutellar shaft cells.

Adults expressing MycGD1419 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.

Adults expressing MycGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in early pupal lethality or late larval lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in grossly normal larval body wall muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in wild-type sarcomeres in the larval body wall muscles.

Mosaic clones expressing dmGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PP exhibit a reduced number of cells with respect to those observed in wild-type clones.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in lethality (either before or at the pupal stage), depending on the insertion line used.

The co-expression of HUWE1GD13830 and MycGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hey.PO (in combination with Dicer-2, for an efficient RNAi) results in small cells in the larval salivary gland.

Expression of dmGD1419 is unable to suppress the dorsal-ventral boundary defects seen when banC.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1.

Expression of MycGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU suppresses the cell polarity defects seen in l(2)gl4 mutant wing disc clones generated in a Minute background, even when the mutant clone tissue occupies a larger proportion of the disc. No degradation of the basement membrane occurs and clones do not form tumorous masses, either in the wing pouch or proximal (hinge and pleura) regions.

Expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa in wing disc clones expressing dmGD1419 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP results in reduced nucleolar cell size. Mutant cells display a rounded-morphology.
