Detailed Description

Expression of Hsp67BcGD11244 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no significant effect on adult eye morphology.

Adults expressing Hsp67BcGD11244 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of Hsp67BcGD11244 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) results in viable flies or partial lethality, depending on the particular P{GD11244} insertion line used.

The eye degeneration phenotype (rough eye, depigmentation, partial loss of ommatidia) characteristic for flies expressing Hsap\TARDBPNLSmut.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is exacerbated by co-expression of Hsp67BcGD11244, with darkening of the whole eye or appearance of dark patches and severe retinal degeneration.

Co-expression of Hsp67BcGD11244 significantly enhances eye degeneration seen in flies with expression of Hsap\ATXN3tr.Q78.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of Hsp67BcGD11244 significantly worsens the eye degeneration seen in Hsap\MJDtr.Q78.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies.
