Expression of outGD3448 in the ey>flip whole-eye clones mutant for either sicilyE or MarfB suppresses the lipid droplet accumulation in retinal glial cells in adult flies and also improves the photoreceptor degeneration phenotype.
The accumulation of lipid droplets in the retinal glia of adult flies expressing either SREBPUAS.cKa or bskScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS is significantly suppressed by co-expression of outGD3448.
