Expression of Mkp3^GSM76 under the control of Scer\GAL4^btl.PS results in defects in the continuity of some tracheal branches in late stage embryos. This phenotype is not seen when Mkp3^GSM76 is expressed in a Mkp3^M76-R2b background.

Expression of Mkp3^GSM76 under the control of Scer\GAL4^dpp.3KK does not affect wing size but results in failure of wing veins L2, L3, L4 and distal L5 to differentiate.
