Maternal expression of fogUAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.mat.αTub67C impairs the formation of the ventral midline during gastrulation, resulting in embryo twisting, abnormal cell constrictions, and incomplete midline closure.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 leads to the loss of most of the wing blade surface.

Expression of fogScer\UAS.cDa driven by Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 increases smog vesicles in the mesoderm.

Scer\GAL4A9-mediated expression of fogScer\UAS.cDa leads to misfolding phenotypes in the wing disc and adult wing.

Expression of fogScer\UAS.cDa, under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in embryos taking approximately 1.4 times longer to complete ventral furrow formation compared to control embryos. Expression of fogScer\UAS.cDa, under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in apical flattening. In addition, the apical shift of adherens junctions, that occurs normally in the ventral furrow region, also occurs in more lateral and dorsal cells, and these junctions are more tightly condensed than the equivalent junctions of control embryos.
